This residency is open to emerging and mid-career artists working in all disciplines across Greater Los Angeles. For four months the artist-in-residence will be given a studio in the Quinn Emanuel Los Angeles office to support their existing practice or a new project as appropriate.

Applications should include the following components:
Proposal (500 words max) in body of email.
Resume or CV, including contact information, PDF form.
Digital portfolio, submitted in a single PDF, highlighting up to 8 original works that represent the applicant’s style, quality, and practice over time. This should be not more than 10 images total in the file as we understand some works may require more than one picture.
Total file size should not exceed 20MB.
Links for applicable videos or media may be included in body of email.
Timeline
Residency begins March 2024 for 4 months
Exhibition begins July 2024 for 1 month
At the end of the residency an exhibition will be held to display the works of the artist and at least one work will be incorporated into the permanent collection. A supporting stipend will be provided, as well as materials allowance. Over the course of a year there will be 2 residency cycles, each with a four month residency and a subsequent exhibition in a location deemed appropriate for the work decided on between the artist and curator.

The Seattle Erotic Art Festival, an annual 3-day festival held in the spring, is holding an open call for visual art, literary art, festival store, and film. This festival that has been running for more than 20 years, is known for showcasing the best in erotic art, covering many facets of sexuality, relationships, human connection, and gender.
Visual Art: We encourage artists to submit works of erotic art in any medium. Sculptors, multimedia artists, painters, and fiber artists are particularly encouraged to apply.
Literary Art: The SEAF Literary Anthology accepts all genres and styles of work including poetry, flash, and short works.
Festival Store: The festival store is similar to what you would find in a museum gift shop. Submissions may include: prints, postcards, photos, small canvas prints, small framed works of art, jewelry, books, magazines, handmade goods, ceramics, sculptures, etc.
Film: Running in conjunction with the festival is the Pan Eros Film Festival. Filmmakers can submit to two categories this year, Short Film and Silent Film, at https://filmfreeway.com/PanErosFilmFestival

The City of Olympia is seeking up to 18 loaned sculptures from Washington and Oregon state artists for temporary outdoor display on Percival Landing a waterfront park at the southernmost end of the Puget Sound in view of the state capital located in Olympia, WA. Selected artists receive a $1,000 honorarium for the one-year loan of their work and are eligible for consideration for the Peoples’ Prize purchase award of up to $10,000.

That’s right, “Draped in Velvet” is an art show dedicated to Velvet Paintings. All colors of velvet are welcome! In the summer of 2024, the Jundt Art Museum at Gonzaga University presents the 2nd Inland Northwest Juried Landscape Art Exhibition, organized by the staff of the museum.
This juried display, originally intended to occur at Gonzaga University every third summer but postponed by the pandemic, seeks to present the diversity and dynamism of contemporary artistic activity in the Inland Northwest while celebrating the relationship between art and the local landscape.

Art Gym Gallery is inviting artists to submit work to the 6th Impressed national printmaking exhibit. Launched in 2016, Impressed celebrates a cross-section of both traditional and alternative printmaking methods being used in contemporary printmaking from artists of all professional levels.
This exhibition runs in conjunction with Denver’s Month of Printmaking (Mo’Print). Mo’Print is a celebration of the art of making original prints to inspire, educate and promote awareness through a variety of public events and exhibitions in Denver and the metropolitan region.

THE AH HAA HAHA
The Ah Haa School for the Arts annual summer fundraiser, the Ah Haa HAHA is a participatory and interactive community event that is a massive, building-wide immersive art installation where each space within the Ah Haa Silverjack building is taken over by a different artist.
The HAHA encourages all featured artists and visitors to lose themselves in the creative process (and product). A building-wide exhibition where art is an experience shared by everyone and creativity and excitement collide, HAHA celebrates each artist’s vision, and encourages all visitors to actively engage with the art. Designed to be accessible to participants of all ages, this immersive experience takes place annually over 3 days in July. 2024 event dates are the evenings of Friday, July 19th (for adults) and Saturday, July 20th (for adults) and the morning of Sunday, July 21st for kids. Over 2,000 participants visit the HAHA each year.
HAHA ARTISTS
HAHA artists are given logistical parameters, material stipend, and creative carte blanche to design and implement an immersive experience that fully reflects their creative practice. HAHA ’23 selected artists have been featured by National Public Radio, The Jealous Curator, The Los Angeles Times, TEDx, TAB, and in locations like The White House, community art centers and national and international museums.

Ah Haa School for the Arts is seeking artists, musicians, performers, designers, and creative thinkers of all backgrounds and abilities to propose work for our annual fundraiser/exhibition space, opening in 2024! We are committed to creating opportunities for a diverse group of makers to participate. HAHA is committed to supporting the creative freedom of local, national and international artists. Whether a single art piece, a full room installation, video and new media content, or a riveting story — we want to see it all. Show us your work and submit your brilliant ideas. We want to collaborate with you!
WHAT WE EXPECT
– All installations must be ADA-compliant
– All installations must include some interactive element to directly engage visitors. Installations may be
generative, may include participatory elements, may employ actors, or any other interpretation
of “interactive” as imagined by the artist. Priority will be given to submissions that encourage touch, play, and creation by viewers
– Artists must attend HAHA events throughout the week of July 15th - 22nd, as ambassadors for Ah Haa and their creative practices.
