We've been doing this since 2010 and were one of the first cloud-based art inventory systems. A decade later, Artwork Archive is an industry leader serving thousands of artists, collectors and organizations in over 120 countries.
We work closely with our clients to build the best possible art management system for their needs. Our program is accessible enough for early-stage artists or collectors and powerful enough for complex organizations managing global collections. We pride ourselves in exceptional customer service.
We believe every artist should have the tools to manage, market and grow their business and every art collector, whether an individual or institution, should have a way to organize, catalog, and protect their collections.
We create systems to help you get organized and save time. Our tools help you efficiently manage a studio career, gallery, art consultancy firm or art collection.
And, Artwork Archive is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We actively work to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and in doing so adhere to many of the available standards and guidelines.
Artwork Archive was inspired by a crashed hard drive and historic flood.
Co-founder John created Artwork Archive for his mother, an oil painter. When her hard drive crashed she lost years of valuable information about her art career. All of the art management solutions at the time were vulnerable and limiting, so John set out to create the first cloud-based system to fit all the needs of a modern day artist.
Artwork Archive soon expanded to serve collectors and organizations after co-founder and collector Justin’s basement flooded. The flood damaged Justin’s artworks and left him scrambling to find receipts and documentation for his works. When he looked for a collection management solution to prepare for future unknowns, he could only find overly complex, overpriced and antiquated solutions.
John and Justin worked together to create a collection management solution focused on accessibility with an intention of disrupting the market. The platform is now used by artists, collectors and organizations in over 130 countries
I absolutely still use it and highly recommend @ArtworkArchive ! I really cannot imagine how I got along before I used their inventory system. My favorite feature is keeping track of shows and deadlines and which pieces I've submitted to which shows, etc.

Artists have you tried @ArtworkArchive? Have had it a few years now, and always used it for inventory, invoices and certificates of authenticity. Never considered money management. It’s a fully loaded account. Check it out. #ArtistOnTwitter #businessmanagement #CareerAdvice #art
