Verónica Grossi was born in Mexico City. She studied art in Stamford, Connecticut with American artist Dorothy Soltanoff and in Guadalajara, Mexico with Cuban artist José Fors. She also attended art classes at the University of Guadalajara and worked for the Department of Beaux Arts of the state of Jalisco. She begun oil painting at age eighteen.
