Wiigwaas-Birches No.10

I am forever tied to the land. I am still living on the same property I did as a child. When I paint, my hands begin painting a landscape. Sometimes my pieces feature trees, sky, and water, and I often feature moments in time and portions of sky and water. Somehow my paintings return to the land that is around me. The spirituality of nature inspires me. “Wiigwaas” is the first in a series of images with birch trees as a central character. This piece is painted with acrylics, many metallic acrylic paints, and iridescent paints to capture light from any angle.
